However, a source close to Sharman says, "Sharman's popularity as an actor has grown sizably after 3 ideots and he is now at such a point in his career where he wants to do roles that challenge and push him as an actor. He is keen to look at scripts where he can showcase his talent as an actor. So, he doesn't mind if he plays a gay or a straight man as long as the role is challenging enough."
