Child Care Expert Said...........
Babies left to cry at risk of brain damage later in life
London: Distressed babies who are left to cry are at greater risk of developing problems later in life, a child care expert said. Long periods of crying can damage developing brains, leading to learning difficulties Leach, author of the book "Your Baby And Child: From Birth To Age Five",published in 1977. "It is not an opinion but a fact that it's potentially damaging to leave babies to cry," she said.
Leach's theory is contrary to popular child-rearing beliefs that a baby should be allowed to cry for up to 20 minutes. "A baby who is left crying for long enough will eventually stop, but because he is exhausted and has despaired of getting help," she said.
She added that continued crying led to the increased production of the "stress hormone" cortisol. Long periods of crying produced so much cortisol that it could damage a baby's brain. "That doesn't mean that a baby should never cry, or that parents shouyld worry when she does. It's not the crying that is bad for babies -- but crying that gets no response,Leach said.
ICELAND'S DISRUPTIVE VOLCANO
On 15th April, 2010, British civil aviation authorities ordered the country's airspace closed as of noon, due to a cloud of ash drifting from the erupting Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland. The volcano has erupted for the second time in less than a month, melting ice, shooting smoke and steam into the air and forcing hundreds of people to flee rising flood-waters. The volcanic ash has forced the cancellation of many flights and disrupted air traffic across northern Europe, stranding thousands of passengers. Here down are some photos taken during the eruption. First Time Sucess for FaceTrnaplant
Madrid: A Spanish hospital said it has performed the world's first compete face transplant in March on a man who could not swallow, breath or talk normally following an accident five years ago.
Ehile 11 other face transplants have been carried out around the world previously, Barcelona's Valld'Hebron hospital said on Thursday that they invloved only part of the patient's face.
During the 22-hour-long operation, the unidentified young man received new facial muscles, skin, nose, lips, jaw, teeth, palate and cheekbones, the leade of the medical team that carried out the procedure, Joan Pere Barret. told a news conference.
A team of 30 experts carried out the transplant on March 20 and care was taken to ensure that the patient's new face was created in the lieness of the face he had before the unspecified accident and did not resemble that of the anonymous donor.
"Relatives say that he looks in some areas like he did before the accident, but he doesn't look like the donor at all, he's changed completely," said Barret.
"The patient has scars on his forehead and neck, but in the future they will be fully concealed," he added. a week after the operation, the atient asked to look at himself in the mirror and was satisfied with what he saw, said Barret. "He saw himself in the mirror when he wanted to and when psychologists said that he was ready. It was a week after the operation and he reacted well. he was calm and satisfied," he said.
The first successful face transplant was performed in France in 2005 on Isabelle Dinoire, a 38-year-old woman who had been mauled by her dog.Since then face transplants have been carried out in China, the United States and Spain, which carried out its first such operation in august 2009. Hospitals in Spain have performed two partial face transplants, in Valencia and Seville. Spain's public health care systems ranked the seventh best in the world by the World Health Organisation.
The patient in Spain underwent psychiatric tests before the operation to determine if he would be able to confrnt haveing a tatally new face, the hopital said. He is expected to remain hospitalized for two months.
The man, who is in his thirties, suffered severe disfigurement and lost his nose, jaw, and other parts of his face when he accidentally shot himself in 2005, reported the Times.

HOW IS A CIGAR MANUFACTURED?
![]() |
CIGARS |
(capa), a binder leaf (capote) and filler (tripa) which is made
from different varieties of tobacco leaves. The best places for
one to look for cigar manufacturing is Cuba where one would find
expert makers of the product using both manual and machine ways
to create them. Cigar as such is made up of 3 parts, the head,
body and legs where the head needs to be cut before smoking. This
fun stuff for many people needs to be preheated before using it
for smoking. Due to its bulkiness, it does not catch fire easily.
One good thing about cigar is that it does not affect lungs
unlike cigarettes. Smoking cigar is an art and requires gentle
ways to do so. The brand Cohiba is considered to be one of the top quality brands of cigars. As a saying goes in Cuba that one does not die of smoking cohiba, but dies out of envying it.
