Priyanka
   Chopra's a
      crowd puller

While the pretty girl was flattered when the crowds chanted her name continuously for hours on end, the unit was slightly wary when the crowes got too close for comfort.
News has it that additional security personnel had to be called to disperse the crowds, and though they quickly brought things under control, PC was completely stressed. The actress, who has now developed a deep bond with Kashmir, didn't want any member of the crowd to be hurt, And she actually went out of her way to ensure that all was well.

IPL CRICKET 2010 - Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Deccan Chargers

IPL CRICKET 2010

Chargee of Deccan brigade
Symonds, Suman Turn On The Heat With Quickfire Fifties As DC Down Royal Challengers By 7 Wickets

Bangalore: For the second time running in a home game, Royal Challengers Bangalore found themselves at the receiving end of a brutal onslaught by someone they would not have spent too much time on during their team meetings. If it was Kedar Jadhav who did them in against Delhi Daredevils, on Thursday it was the turn of Deccan Chargers' Tirumallasetti Suman to hand them a fifth defeat in 10 games.
the win keeps Deccan, with four wins, in the fray, while RCB find themselves in a tricky position. Coming at the fall of opener Monish Mishra, Suman (78 not out, 57b, 6x4, 3x6) paced his innings superbly, allowing his skipper Adam Gilchrist (32, 19b, 3x4, 2x6) first and then the big-hitting Andrew Symonds (53 not out , 24b, 5x4, 3x6)  to play with freedom as Deccan Chargers chased down RCB's stiff 184 with four balls and seven wickets to spare.
When the RCB innings finished with a flourish, some great hitting by Jacques Kallis and Virt Kohli doubling their  score from 94 for 4 at the end of the 14th to an impressive 184 at the end of the 20th, the Chargers, who have found themselves at the wrong end of the barrel on six earlier occasion, seemed on the verge of going down again. But not this time as they set themselves up nicely to a stage where they required 60 from the last five overs, a target they scaled down easily as not a single RCB bowler, not even the fast and furious Dale Steyn, managed to make an impression.
Earlier, RCB showed that they bat a little differently than other teams. They are not all that interested in the so-called power play at the beginning of the innings. Instead they prefer to turn it on towards the end, trusting their power-hitting to take them through. And boy, did they turn it on at the packed Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday night, bringing a somewhat worried gathering to their feet.

Debutant director Kookie V Gulati is super excited as Prince gears up for release this Friday.

Kathryn Bigelow - ACTION!

I' m too old to be
a sex symbol'

She's the first woman to win an Qscar for direction in the Academy of Motion Picture and Science's 82-years history, and for helming an action packed film about a bomb defusal squad in Iraq, at that. Surely, that would put Kathryn Bigelow in the same league as Tina Fey, the poster woman for the thinking man's sex symbol, Or, like Tina, does she believe there's no such thing? "I'm too old to be a sex symbol!" laughs 58-year-old Kathryn, adding, "But I think men prefer sensible and intelligent girls over (their) beautiful but dumb counterparts for long-term relationships."
Does the term 'sensible and intelligent' also refer to the kind of films that men would prefer women to direct -- less chick flick a la  Nora Ephron and Nancy Meyers, and more masculine like Kathryn's The Hurt Locker?" By masculine, if you mean only action or scifi films. then I don't subscribe to that view. I like to make movies in which the story has the potential to be told in a decent manner. A good film should connect with people on an emotional level, " says Kathryn. So, would she ever make a more 'feminine' film. like The Weight of Water, which she made in 2000? "If it means a story based on relationships and emotions, I'd love to make one in the plot is appealing, " she says.
Next up for Kathryn is the television show, The Miraculous Year, after which she's teaming up again with The Hurt Locker screenplay writer Mark Boal for Triple Frontier, Is it true that she was asked to direct the fourth Spider-Man film? "It's all gossip, " is all the director will say.

IPL CRICKET 2010 - Kings XI Punjab Vs Rajasthan Royals

IPL CRICKET 2010
Rajasthan Royals Vs Kings XI Punjab

Royal hiding for Kings

Jaipur: The Sawai Mansingh Stadium has always been a happy hunting ground for Rajasthan Royals, particularly Shane Warne and Wednesday was no exception. Under lights, Warne's boys played some outstanding strokes bt send the crowd into a frenzy before pulling off a nine-wicket win. A win or loss doesn't matter Kings as they are languishing at the bottom of the points tally. But a defeat could have furrowed the eyebrows of Shane Warne as it would spoil their semifinal hopes.
Michael Lumb justified his faith in skipper Warne, coming up with a great knock of 83 of 43 balls. The win lifted Royals to joint secondspot, an unlikely position for a team that was written off after starting with three defeats in a row. Kings skipper Kumara Sangakkara shuffled his bowlers around but to no avail. Lumb picked off the spinners witha sweeps and reverse sweeps.
The 100 came up in the ninth over when Irfan was punished for four fours. Lumb could have completed his century, but a lapse in concentration cost him dearly. He was dismissed in the next over. But cool-headed Ojha took charge of the chase and with the help of Yusuf Pathan, finished off the game in the 15th over. Earlier, Kings XI Punjab won the toss and decided  to bat first. but they came a cropper against a none too-intimidating bowling, leaving royals well-placed to complete a hattrick of wins. Mahela Jayawardene top scored again, and Yuvraj Singh showed off his awesome hitting, but the rest failed to contribute anything substantial. Their innings ended at 153 for 6. Aditya Dole (2/36) and Siddharth Trivedi  (2/22) were the pick of the bowlers.
It started well for them with Manvinder Bisla and Nahela jayawardene punished some average howling to gallop to 28 after three overs. Shane Watson broke through with a quick boncer, removing Bisla, but Jayawardine calmly continued to pick off the runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders Vs Delhi Daredevils

DADA OVER DD
Ganguly Steals The Show As KKR Beat Daredevils By 14 Runs

Kolkata: It was Dada's day out at Eden Gardens on Wednedsday. Sourav Ganguly scored a fifty (56 off 46 balls), took a good catch and effected a crucial run out (of Gautam Gambhir), an all-round performance that helped Kolkata Knight Riders record a 14-run win over Delhi Daredevils. The win also helped KKR stay in the race with 10 points from 10 matches.
Set a target of 182 for victory, Delhi were crusing when Gautam Gambhgir and Virender Sehwag were at the crease after they lost an early wicket that of Warner who was dismissed by Ashok Dinda in the first over. Shewag made 64 off 40 balls and Gambhir 47 off 29 balls as the pair put on 99 for the second wicket in 9.4 overs. But then Dada came on the scene. Delhi were restricted to 167 for eight in the end.
Earlier, a 41-ball partnership of 70 took the Kolkata Knight Riders to a challenging total of 181 for three. KKR. facing a must-win situation-to- keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the semifinals of IPL-3, began well but went off the boil and it was left to the two youngsters to lend the crucial push in the finals overs.
It was always going to be a daunting task against a team that has won its last four matches but the fickliness of the format and the Kolkata fan's unwavering belidf that there is a rainbow round the corner meant some 30,000 still turned up at the Eden Gardens. After Sunday's shocking loss to the Kings XI, the match conceded even after scoring 200, the Knights would have gone into the break between innings wondering whether they had enough on the board.
As in their previous match, the Daredevils opened with pace and spin in Fervez Maharoof and Daniel Vettori. With Ganguly around, it wasn't a good idea and skipper Gambhir had to quickly backtrack after the Kiwi conceded 15 runs. With Maharoof also leaking runs at the other end. KKR got off to the start they wanted. Thirty-two off the first three overs, with Ganguly on 25 off 14 with five fours and Gayle gradually getting into the groove, just as he had before exploding against the Kings XI.
