SIMPLY SCARED: Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott

Saturday, July 24, 2010

Tori's paranoia

With the number of husbands cheating on their wives on the rise, most women are paranoid wondering if their husbands are cheating on them. and Tori Spelling is no different.
The actress, who met spouse Dean McDermott when he was still married, at least honestly admits she can't control her jealousy and regularly thinks female callers at home are sleeping with her partner. She says, "We're aloving couple, but we're human and difinitely not perfect. Given our history. I often, get worried that Dean is going to cheat on me. If the phone rings and it's a girl's voice. I have to ask if he's having an affair."
Tori, who has Liam, three, and two-year-old Stella, with the actor, admits Dean constantly reassures her that he is faithful, and though she believes him, she can't stop herself from making the accusations.
"Dean has never been anything but devoted, and he tells me over and over again that he would never do that. Deep down I believe him. But I can't stop myself. For some reason I'm compelled to accuse him of cheating. I apologise to Dean constantly and it drives him crazy and rightfully so," she adds, Well, kudos to his patience.

HOT AND HAPPENING: Ranbir Kapoor

Shirtless in Delhi!

If anyone spotted this hottie walking around shirtless on the streets of Delhi...don't balme the poor lad, Reason it with the lovely ladies instead.
Recently, when Ranbir Kapoor was in the capital city to promote his latest release, the crowds (read: the women) were quite uncontrollable. Well, hysterical, to be more correct.
Apparently, they reached out for Ranbir and almost managed to rip apart his shirt, and a few buttons went missing too. While he didn't look too perturbed by this frenzy, he was whisked away well in time to a much safer 'lady less' zone.
We think this boy is used to a lot more female attention and this wasn't too hot to handle. Was it, RK?

HOOKED TO THE NET: Karan Johar

Talent hunt in cyberspace

This is a 'new talent' year for Karan Johar. Yes, the man, who is known to work with the biggest and the best in the business (and one king khan), is hungry for more, we mean more talent.
And ever since he expressed his need for new talent on a social networking website, the phones in his office haven't stopped ringing and his email has exceeded its capacity. He has some two lakh plus followers on the networking website and we're confident more than half of them are probably wannable actors.
So, now that he's called for more talent, the man's gotta know how to handle it too. And we are dying to see how KJo uses this new, raw talent, just off cyberspace. Wonder what best buddy SRK has to say about this,

DESTINY'S CHILD: Charmme

'I AM NOT A GADGET FREAK

Sexy siren Charmme is all set to bounce back into the reckoning with two big tecket Telugu films Sye Aata and Mangala.
"No one gave Manthra (her film that released three years ago and fetched her a Nandi Award) a chance, but its phenomenal success silenced detractors," she claims. similarly, she fells that comic-caper Sye Aata, revolving around a dance reality TV show, and horror flick Mangala have enough potential to help tide over a lean patch.
On being the torch-bearer of women-oriented films for quite some time, she says, "Frankly, I have no choice since I am getting only author-backed roles and the terrain is tough, " she admits, but adds with grit, "No doubt it's a tough mission, but I'm in no mood to give up, although many of my colleagues have changed tracks to repeat themselves, Perhaps, I'm destined to be the torch-bearer, " she says.
Charmme, who's done several films in Tamil, including Kadhal Azhivathillai, Aahaa Ethanai Azhagu and the recently-released Laadam, completed nine years in the industry in May and threw a party to celebrate.
"Most actors, directors and producers turned up to bless me. To be precise, I have 30close friends in the industry, who will take my calls even at midnight and rush to help, if required," she says confidently.
Besides the goodwill, she is proud of her bank balance and swanky car. "At 22, I think I have a good bank balance, a swanky home and my prized possessionk, a BMW,' she asserts.
So, is she a gadget freak? "I'm not a gadget freak. I haven't changed my mobile phone in four years and I don't have a laptop yet." she says decidedly.

Yep, Imran is willing to do anything it takes to give I Hate Luv Storys lavish publiciy. Well, a little extra push never hurts, does it? He's shooting in Mauritius for kunal Kohli's movie, but he will be heading back home soon to catch up with the promotions of his new release.
He has promised to give at least 14-15 hours to any activity related to the movie. Wonder if the boy is seeking marketing genius, aka mamoo's expert advice,.
Well, it seems like he will do anything to make this love story work. Imran's rivals might, but we're not gonna hate him for that. So go on, boy...

After the success of the thriller Eeram, actor Aadhi is back with a bank with Ayyanaar.

OPEN TALK: Neha Dhupia

Neha'spreferences

We were chatting up with Neha Dhupia recently and discussing what looks good on women and what doesn't, when we were startled to hear an observation.
Neha actually said that while she felt that Kareena Kapoor has one of the best bodies in Bollywood, she didn't think too much of the 'size zero' body she'd achieved.
"Yes, I know it became iconic and all that, but I think Kareena looked her best in Jab We Met. The size zero is not so healthy. And Indian women's curves are so hot. We have the best bodies. Kareena looks better now than before. All these fads - six-pack and eight-pack abs for guys and size zero for girls is nonsense. They're unhealthy."
Well, well, well. Will Bebo take this as a compliment? Let's find out.

PUPPY CRUSH: Trisha

TRISHA'S PET PROJECT
The actress is on a crusade for adopting Indian dogs...

Trisha is in love. But hold on, we aren't referring to the latest man in her life but her craze for Indian dogs. The actress, whose liking for animals is quite well-known, is now all set to wear an angelic avatar for the cause of Indian dogs. "I am really pleased to be the brand ambassador for the adoption of Indian dogs. I'm endorsing something that I truly believe in and my joy knows no boundaries," begins the pretty actress.
She continues, "i'm on the move every day and see many dogs lying in the garbage and loitering on the streets. It's heart-breaking when I see them. people should understand that Indian dogs can be well-bred too. You may wonder what difference adopting a dog might make, but it does have a great effect on the animal."
Does that mean that she is campaigning for the adoption of dogs and not buying them? "Exactly! but I do not prefer to call them stray as I consider every anial special. Six years ago, I had adopted Cadbury (an Indian dog) and he's now the darling of my family. In fact, he is my karmic buddy," muses Trisha.
Quiz the actress if she grew close to any animal while shooting and she replies with a grin. "During the shoot of my Telugu film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, I became close with the pomeranian in the film. He provided me great company throughout the shoot. On that note, let me also tell you that I am against shooting with animals illegally."
The dog lover in Trisha is now all excited as she truly hopes that she wi8ll be able to heop spread word about the noble cause through her latest campaign. "Adopt a dog and treat him or her like a family member. That's the mantra," she winds up.

Health Issue: SHORT CUTS

SHORT CUTS:
High meat intake tied to early periods:
A new study by Iniversity of Brighton researchers says that girls who eat a lot of meat during childhood start their periods earlier than others. As part of the research, scientists compared the diets of more than 3,000 12-year-old girls. They found high meat consumption at age three (over eight portions a week) and age seven (12 portions) was tied with early periods. A meat-rich diet might prepare the body for pregnancy, triggering an earlier puberty, the study said.

Tobacco plants may offer
new beauty secrets

In what could redefine the usefulness of tobacco plants, an israeli scientist has developed a substance from the plant that he claims could be used for beauty enhancement and other medical purposes. Prof Oded Shoseyov of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem has succeeded in producing from tobacco plants a replica of human collagen - the main protein in skin, tendons, bone, cartilage and connective tissues, As we age, the protein declines, allowing wrinkles to set in. But the new synthetic collagen, which is currently being marketed for medical purposes such as for bone and heart repairs, may someday be used cosmetically, the university said.

How sharks smell blood from afar:
Scientists claim to have finally solved the mystery of how sharks cansmell a drop of blood in the ocean a quarter of a mile away. A team at Florida University has found that sharks' noses use "smell stereo" to detect tiny delays - no more than half a second long - inthe time that odours take to reach one nostril compared to the other. And according to the scientists, when the hunters experience such a lag, they will turn towards whichever side picked up the scent first.
