        Bollywood babes may be earning big bucks, but they know when to splurge and when to save. Bangalore beauties Lara Dutta and Deepika Padukone did go on a shopping spree when they were shooting for Housefull in Londaon. 

        The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh. Jiah Khan, Arjun Rampal and our own Saroja girl, Vega. A unit member says,"Lara was familiar with London and since she ahd Deepika shared a great rapport, they would often go for the local sales."

        Looks like this friendship's a great deal for both the girls. But we wonder how Jiah Khan, the Ghajini girl, shopped!

              Director Priyadarshan has developed a special bond with child actor Ziyah Vastani while shooting for Bumm Bumm Bole, The director feels that Ziyah looks exactly how his daughter Amu used to look when she was four.

         Priyan says, "I was always scared of carrying small babies so much so that I was reluctant to even hold my own daughter and missed on those few wonderful moments due to my fear. When I first saw Ziyah she reminded me of my daughter Amu's childhood. Since then, every morning, I used to take her in my arms and carry her to the set. And soon, that became a routine."

Vijay Antony - CREATIVE STREAK

'Music is

always with me'

    After creating waves as a hit-churning music director, Vijay Antony is enjoying his latest stint in front of the camera. He's currently nbusy with his home production Naan in which he debuts as hero. Ask him if this move will hamper his creativity as a music director and he's quick to reply, "Music is always with me and I don't need a special space for it. Acting is just another facet and it will not affect my output as a music director."

          So, how's he planning to juggle the three roles -- as an actor, music director and producer? "It's all team work," he states, "The co producer and director are my close friends and with their guidance and support, I don't feel the burden at all." Naan revolves around the journey of a man from Ramanathapuram and how his life gets influenced by people and events.

        When it comes to acting, Vijay Antony prefers to be a director's  actor "But as far as the songs are concerned, I will give full space to the director to choose the number's and place it according to his requirement," he states.

         The things weren't looking  good when Rohit Sharma Tyagi but the duo of Suman and Symonds kept their cool on a hot day. They ran in hard, picked up boundaries at regular intervals and showed the urgency. Their partnership gave Chargers a perfect plat form and then Symonds smashed some huge sixes to give Deccan Chargers their second successive victory.

          Chennai's gamble of leaving out Muttiah Muralitharan on a truning track cost them dearly although R Ashwin justified team a chance But, in the end, Chennai just did not have enough runs to defend. With this win, the race for semifinal has become even hotter, Now both Deccan Chargers and Chennai have win their remaining matches to qualify for the semifinal. Chennai started off well as M Vijay once again looked in imperious touch, However, he hardly got enough strike in the powerplay and eventually ran himself out. It was Harmeet, who did the trick for Chargers in his first over.

      Actor Vijay is a happy man these days. His 50th film, Sura, with director S P Rajkumar. opposite Tamannaah, is all set to hit the screens soon and this Villu star is already busy working on his next film. KaavalKaaran, with Asin. The actor has just finished shooting aq dance sequence with asin in Karakkudi.

        "I've already worked with director Siddique in Friends, which was a big hit, He's a professional when it comes to handling scripts, actors and direction. when I got an opportunity to work with him again, I was excited," says Vijay in a press release.

         KaavalKaaran is a remake of the Malayalam hit Bodyguard that starred Nayanthara and Dileep in the lead.

         Talking about his co-star Asin, he says, "We have p0aired up earlier in Sivakasi and Pokkiri and both the films did super business, and withthis film, I promise the audiences are in for a treat."

         Meanwhile, the actor also clarified his political aspirations in the press release.

Pulling Dee's leg!

       Talking about Ranbir reminds us about the lovely Ms Dee (Yes, like guessing that was 'Rocket' science). Well, this time, dont't blame us.Turn over to the other hottie in twon Imran Khan, of course. 

      Here's a little gossip we scooped out from the sets of the Imran-Deepika Padukone starrer, Break Ke Baad. Apparently, one lightman in the crew is called Ranbir. Whenever  Deepika was around, Imran would naughtily call out to Rnabir light fix kar. Ranbir Chai la.' One entire day , be teased the lovely Ms Dee in Ranbir's presence. It was obviously all in good humaour and we know that Imran was only trying to create a 'light' hearted moment on the sets, in his sweet, bratty way.

        However, Deepika got miffed and requested her co-star to stop the RK banter. Imran quickly slipped back to his gentle manly ways, and all was well again.
