When four people known for their sense of humour get to work together, then what you get is a product that provides unlimited fun. And Guru Sishyan, it seems, is one such product.
A recent press meet called by the Guru Sishyan team was full of witty remarks and clever statements. Take for instance, the speech of comedian Santhanak at the press meet.
While comparing his experience of working in this film with that of working in others, the actor said, "My director and co-artistes in this film were very open to suggestions that I made and even incorportated a rew. It was a pleasure working with this team. I've worked in certain films where people have refused to take my suggestions for fear of 'ruining the story' Often, "ive found that such films don't have a story! Then, there are others who have given me a bloan sheet with just the word comedy written on it and nothing else. Such people have asked me to 'develop' comedy. When I've asked them how they expected me to develop comedy, they'd reply, 'simply do it'."
The film, featuring three actors known for their ability to make audience laugh-- Sundar C, Sathyaraj and Santhanam, has been directed by Sankthe Chidambaram, also known for his sense of humour.
Actor Sundar C, who was also present at the press meet, was all smiles throughout.. To a question on how he felt about Sathyaraj's statement in which he had compared him with Mohanlal, Sundar C said, "I think Sathyaraj has a big heart. Being compared to Mohanlal is the biggest compliment I have received till date. "
