              Mamta Mohandas might not have exactly set the screen on fire in the Tamil and Telugu film industries, but she has certainly been making the headlines for her wonderful voice.

       Yes,this Guru En Aalu star is a trained singer, "My parents are trained singers and I guess singing is in my genes, "she says.

       Mamata has sung under the baton of music director Devi Sri Prasad for the Telugu film Rakhee and has even won a Filmfare Award for it. She has also sung a few numbers in Tamil, including the chartbuster Daddy Mummy...in Villu that had music by DSP again! Recently, she sang forYuvan Shankar Raja (Idai Vazhi...in Goa
            However,after that,a severethroatproblem keptMamata away from the recording studieios.
