Double standards for girls

    Pop singer Miley Cyrus, who's been in the news of late for all the wrong reasons, says that Hollywood holds 'double standards' against females.

       The singer has been fuming over criticism for her bold image while promoting her latest video Can't be Tamed. She raised many ey brows for faking a same sex kiss with a female dancer during her shows. And now,l the Hannah Montana star says that while Hollywood allows young male to strip off on screen. it points fingers at women who flaunt their assets. she says, "Girls are immediately going to say, "Oh, she's trying to sell sex.' Well, i love Zac Efron, but what's he selling? He's gorgeous, he's hot. He's just not in a leotard with his legs out. He has his shirt off. In  High School Musical...  he's in basketball shorts and his cutoff tank top and girls are dying. It's an easy get away even for boy bands but female singers have to work real hard.'

           Unlike with the men, when Bollywood women shoot in the same vicinity there is no stress. The media is constantly writing reports on how Vivek Oberoi has to lock himself up in his van if Salman Khan is in the same studio, or how Shah Rukh Khan avoids the venue that Sallu is in, etc.

           however, the womenin Bollywood are far more covil, Recently, Kareena Kapoor and her closest competitor Katrina Kaif were on adjacent shooting floors. These two beauties stoically avoided each other. But there was no stress on either side. neither girl wanted to go across and wish the other, but the nice thing is they were equally warm to their common visitor. And didn't make bitchy comments about each other. Good, at least the girls in B-town are more civil than the men.

            Salman Khan has become a social networking junkie these days. The actor is constantly online, either chatting with his fans and friends or some filmi talk.

            "Bhai only communicates with people he loves," says an insider. And right now, the recipient of bhai's love is youngster Imran Khan.

             Sallu has expressed a desire to see Imran's  I Hate Luv Storys  and they have been chatting incessantly about this romcom.

          Karan Johar who has produced the film joined in the chat and has promised Salman that when the first copy of the film is out, he will have a special preview for Salman and his family.

         Imran's  mamu Aamir Khan may also be present at the samd screening. Well, at least here is one friendly tale in Bollywood!

         Actress Amanda Seyfried, reveals she was left annoyed at having to kiss eight men during the auditions of Red Riding Hood.

        Seyfried, 24, had to lock lips with various men as she screen tested for two co-stars to play opposite her in the upcoming thriller,

based on the classic fairytale, "I had to kiss eight guys in one weekend, it's really annoying -- an intimate thing you have to do with people you don't want to be intimate with," she says, Her discomfort was picked up by the studio, who presented her with a breath-freshening gift, "As  a joke, the studio sent me a basket containing mouthwash and mint," she adds.

            Singer Alicia Keys, who is already pregnant, is considering adopting a child from Africa in the future.

          A series of charity trips left her wanting to help the continent's orphans. The 29-year-old star is expecting her first child with fiance Swizz Beatz, a music producer, later this year but she's already looking to provide a sibling for the baby.

         "Adopting is definitely not out of the question. I would love to figure out the ways that could work for me. I felt I wanted to scoop up the children I met in Africa and take them home.

          At this point I kinda feel I have amazing brothers and sisters in Africa. Hopefully I can be their big sister who they know they can depend on and will always be there, fighting for them," she says. "The people I met last time I was in Africa inspired me more than anything in my life. I cried a lot. It was extremely emotional and it changed me. it was heart-breaking but also heart-lifting," she adds.
