NEW PASTURES: Sona Hayden

I completed Kanimozhi in 46 days: Sona The actress is enjoying her new role as producer...       Sona Hayden, the oomph girl of Kollywood, has a new passion. "It's not a man... It's producing films," she laughs. After scorching the screen as an actress, Sona became an entrepreneur, launching her boutique store. And now, she's turning into a  full-fledged producer along with veteran producer T Shiva for Kanimozhi.        Sona has done the impossible, something that even top producers are not able to do. Says a beaming Sona, "I completed Kanimozhi in 46 days on a budget of around Rs 3 crore. The film will release two weeks after the audio launch on July 22."        She has also pulled off a coup of sorts by getting Chief Minister karunanidhi to preside over as the chief guest for the audio launch. Vijay will also be present during the occasion.        Bollywood actress Shazahn Padmasee, who did Rocket Singh  with Ranbir Kapoor, is debuting in Tamil in the Sripathi-director Kanimozhi which has Jai and Vijay Vasanth in lead roles. Music for the flick is by Satish Chakravarthy. Says sona, "The film is a beautiful light-hearted romantic film with the correct mix of commercial ingredients to make it work at the box office."        Though Sona's first attempt at truning producer didn't work out as the film got shelved, Kanimozhi has given her a new-found confidence. Disclosing her future plans, she says, "I have plans to make three films a year, Already, my next film Bhagyarau 2010 has started rolling. I'm now on the look out for commercially-viable themes."         So, will the glam girl of Kollywood stop sizzling on screen? "I'm proud of my body. Though I love doing glamorous roles, I can't get into a bikini at the moment. For the time being, I'm concertrating on my career as a producer. However, I will abe doing a very glamorous special appearance in KV Anand's Ko But, I can't reveal anything more about it now."
