Mumbai: The sparse crowds at the IPL3 semifinal between the Chennai and Hyderabad sides took the locals by surprise. The DY Patil Stadium has seen their even local T20 finals running to full houses and crowds being turned back.

         Here of course the tickets are priced astronomically high. Plus the sale began only a day ago. there were not many outlets in the vicinity. The ones at venue closed in the morning.

         Nearing the start of the match there were hardly any avenues to buy tickets. People said this tie would have better off played in Chennai. the stress appeared to be on sale of the matches of Mumbai Indians. The first tow games of the IPL3 held here were house full. The final was sold out 15 days ago.But after today's no-show' there hangs a question-mark against the match on Saturday for the No 3 place tie. They have a day to sell but with MI not figuring in it will be a surprise if the match is sold out.

   Anyway it was a blessing in disguise for those who made it.
