Eyes and Ears

          Are you a fantastic listener ? Or do people keep telling you, "I already tole you that" ?

          When people speak they communicate not only with words but with facial expression, tone of voice, flowing gestures, and flashing eyes. It helps if you are a detective of sorts and ae alert to clues.

            and if you are truly attentive, of course, you look at the person who is talking to you. You stop reading the paper, or you turn off the television set. You don't turn on the garbage disposal in the middle of a conversation. These are indications that what someone is saying is more important to you than electronic gadgets, more important than the hewpaper. 

            Your attention indicates that this person is important to you and that you want to hear what is being said. There is no substitute for this kind of attention.
