MERITS OF ASSISTED DELIVERY
WHEN IS ASSISTED DELIVERY RECOMMENDED?
1. In some cases, after the epidural (A Pain reliever) is given, the pelvic muscles may not contract enough to help the mother deliver.
Many mothers do not feel the contractions.
The baby is in a breach position - the headis not down for delivery- when the labour begins prematurely
Mothers are too tired to push.
The baby is not receiving enough oxygen.
