Rahul Dholakia reveals the truth Indian filmmakers are now trying their hands at issue-based movies. These directors aim to convey their messaged via films. directors like Raju Hirani, Prakash Jha and Rahul Dholakia top the list. And now, after his National Award-winning film, Rahul brings to you the unflod true story of Kashmir, in his forthcoming film Lamhaa. He hopes to wipe out the myth of the world and give the true picture of this beautiful valley, and bring out the essence of it being called heaven on earth. The film is about Vikram (Sanjay dutt), who is sent to investigate this highly confidential mission assuming the identity of Gul Jehangir. The day he lands in the valley, Haji, a top separatist leader, survives a blast, To solve this conundrum, Vikram teams upo with Aziza (Bipasha Basu), Haji's young, aggressive and outspoken protege. The intensity of their beliefs and their will to survive against all odds create a special bond between them. Rahul says, "My film comes with a strong message that I want to share. Lamhaa is a story pro Kashmir, representing the pain and sufferings of the people and not the stereotypical portrayal of the valley that it is made out to be With Lamhaa, I am trying to communicate the truth as far as possible of the life that suffers identity crises, oppression and survival of sorts. It's taken me five years to bring this film to light and I pray for its success and hope that it spreads the right message. |
