Delhi DareDevil Vs Rajasthan Royals
Daredevils rout Rajasthan
New Delhi: After Delhi Daredevils' Paul Collingwood was dismissed at the Kotla on Wednesday against Rajasthan Royals, Dinesh Karthik was all set to cross into the field and join captain Gautam Gambhir in the middle. But Gambhir signalled for Kedar Jadhav to come in and bat at No.5. The move might well have spurred Karthik on -- the wicketkeeper batsman played a stellar knock to take Daredevils to a very healthy 188 for six which proved too much for the Royals.
Karthik's 69 off just 38 balls (6x4, 4x6) gave a late impetus to the hosts and a likely total of 160-165 actually became 188. Royals reeded Yusuf Pathan to fire big to overhaul this score. Yuisuf failed, and so did the Royals, who slumped to 121 all out to lose by a whopping 67 runs. Yusuf and Naman Ojha did play some lusty shots but that wasn't enough.
