Take Interest

             Rev up your knowledge in the sports and hobbies of those you love. If you can't take part, you can at least take interest. Study the special language of cars and golf and bridge and film-making if these are their areas of interest.

             Learn the rules. Know about grand slams, honors, birdies, and eagles.

           If your friend is absorbed in gourmet cooking, don't be so obvious with your peanut butter and jelly. Know the names of some good wines.
