ASSISTED BIRTHS ON RISE IN CITY
Docs Use Instruments To Deliver Babies, Blame Use of Pain Killers And Mothers Too Tired To Push;
Doctors go in for assisted deliveries when the baby is 'in distress' during the last stage of labour or when the mother complains of being "too tired to push"
1.What is an assisted delivery?
Towards the end of a normal delivery, some women may need a little extra help. After administering
a mild anaesthesia, the doctor applies forceps or minimal suction (vacuum)to the baby's head and pulls it out through the birth canal during the uterine contraction.
