Kelen Keller (1880-1968) Illness made he blind and deaf when she was a baby, however, she still learned to speak and write. She spent her life helping other blind and deaf people. She is remebered as an advocate for people with disabilities, as numerous causes. She was suffragist, a pacifist, and a birth control supporter. In 1915, she founded Helen Keller International non-profit organization for prevention of blindness.
