Angelina Jolie visits Ecuador Actress Angelina Jolie recently paid a visit to displaced villagers on the Ecuador border. The Tomb Raider star , who has been a UN Goodwill Ambassador since 2001, is an avid supporter of the annual day to highlight the plight of refugees around the globe. She recently roured the Ecuador-Colombia horder for the first time in eight years where she visited women and children who had been forced to flee their homes due to conflicts in the South American region Jolie apparently left tywo days later after talking to ?Ecuador's President Rafael Correa and other government officials. It is said that between 50,000 and 170,000 Colombian refugtees are living close to the border because of the ongoing conflicts in the country, which have raged since the 1960s. |
