            Perky actress Lekha Washington started her film career with the Tamil hit jayam Kondaan. She then moved to Bollywood to do a film, Peter Gaaya Kaam Se, after which she is now busy with a Telugu and Kannada film. Question her about her Bollywood adventure and she says she's not moving heaven and earth to be a part of the Hindi film industry."The film industries in south are huge and loads of good films are being made here. So, there's no desperation to be part of Bollywood. I'd love to do good films and that's what I am looking at."She confesses.

          Lekha also rues the fact that she can't promote herself."I find it very immodest to be talking about myself. And I am too shy to approach a filmmaker and express my interest in doing a role. I think I'd appear desperate if I did that. So, I just let my work do the talking and hope that top filmmakers notice my work and keep offering me good films, "she says.
