STORY OF HANDICAPE
Continue..............
Sekhar walked on thinking what and how he would tell his father about Muthu. Then he found to his great shock that his gold ring was missing. He began to search for it all the way back to school. He couldn't find it. " It was on my finger when I was talking with Muthu, " said Sekhar to himself. "Perhaps it had fallen into his bowl as I was dropping the coin. Shall I go and ask him ? Oh, no ! After having told him that I felt happy and satisfied whenever I gave him some alms, will I not be deceiving myself now by asking him about my ring ? If it had slipped into his bowl, let him have it. But, then, what shall I tell my Mom ? What explanation will I give her ? " Sekhar's mind was not at peace.
Dr. Dhanapal was a kind-hearted man.; But his wife Parimalam was a strict lady. She had no concern or sympathy for the poor. when Sekhar reached home his mother called him for tea. But Sekhar was not in a mood to eat or drink anything. But he had no choice. As he was eating his snacks, his mother noticed that his ring was missing. She said, "Sekhar, what happened to your ring ? Have you placed it anywhere ? "
Sekhar did not know what to say. He was afraid to tell his mother the truth. Then he plucked up some courage. "When I was playing football it must have fallen somewhere in the ground, Mom. I searched every nook and corner in the field, but I couldn't find it, " said Sekhar in a faltering voice.
