Neetu Chandra is excited about being the 'yellow sari girl' in Mysskin's next film
It's homecoming of sorts for actress Neetu Chandra, who will be in the city on June 6 to shoot for a song in director Mysskin's upcoming flick Yuddham sei. "I'm damn excited about coming back to the city. I've already made my love for the city wocal and now, I'm just looking for excuses to be here," she says.
Talking about the 'yellow sari dance' (yeah, that's how she calls the song), she says, "I'll be rehearsing my dance movements for a day and shoot for it from the next day. I've heard only a scratch of the song, and I loved it. It has a folkish feel to it. And I'm hoping my dance movements will be slow, sensuous and something on the lines of Vaala Meenu...and Kathala Kannala... I will be heavily accessorised and yes, I'll be wearing a yellow sari, which has proved to be lucky for the director."
Though Neetu is open to doing a special appearance in a Kollywood film, she's also looking to do a full-fledged film role soon. "I want to do an intense love story, a film tht will give me scope to dance hard and belt out wisecracks. In short, I want to do a nice mass commercial film next." she admits.
on the Bollywood front, her hands are full with Anees Bazmee's No Problem, Sadiyaan; by Raj Kanwar, Love Jaisa Kuch and Khusar Parsad Ke Bhoot. "I recently shot a mujra dance for Sadiyaan; Rekhaji and Hema Maliniji, two of the dancing queens in Indian cinema, praised me for my dance movements. It's one moment I will never forger," she gushes.
Meanwhile, Neetu's also looking for ward to celebrating her birthday on June 20 with her family and friends. "Birthdays make me sad as they remind me that I've grown a year older. But at the same time, I'm also quite excited because I'm looking forward to opening gifts from my near and dear ones. After all, that's the best part of a birthday, right?" she laughs and signs off.
