CAPTIVATING CANADA

ADVICE FROM EDWISE

For starters, Canada already boasts of a large Indian diaspora of students, offering a truly international educational experience. Canadian diplomas and degrees are instantly recognized around the world as being of the highest standards. and what's more, you get all this at a remarkably low cost, both in terms of tution fees and cost of living.
With over 90 universities and 175 colleges and technical institutes featuring virtually every program imaginable, from nuclear science to engineering, MBA to arts and music, Canada may just be the place of your dreams.
Canadian institutions have earned an international reputation for excellence. Their faculty has recognized research and teaching strengths in everything from computer sciences, business (including MBA programs), health sciences, law, ocean studies, natual resources to agriculture.
The Canadian education system consists of colleges, and Universities. Students from India tend to prefer Degree's and thus often look to Universities for programs. Universities offer 4 year Bachelor's programs and 2 year Master's programs in Canada would require 16 years of education prior to enrollment but there are a few which accept 15 years of education into some programs, such as MBA programs.
A little known fact is that Canadian Colleges offer Bachelor's degree programs. Further they offer excellent P.G. Diploma programswith a great emphasis on industry requirements. These vocational programs have great value in the job market. Students also can enroll in a program with a Co-op(work) semester thus getting some hands on work experience. The PG Diploma programmes are ideally suited for Indian Students with 15 years of education.
Need more reasons? Here's one that tops the list5. The Canadian High Commission launched the immensely successful student Partner's program with the idea of increasing the approval rate for study permit applications at participating Canadian Colleges. This SPP program assists students to get a Visa faster, provided they meet a specific list of conditions.
the lure and beauty of Canada is hard to resist. Several international students who complete post-secondary education in Canada wish to stay on and obtain Canadian work experience. A wise move considering Canada has also been consistently ranked by the UN as the number one country in the world to live in.
Once you've completed your studies, you can apply for a post-graduation work permit, which allows you to work in Canada. Under the post-graduation work permit program, international graduates who have studied a 2 year program can now obtain a three-year open work permit on which they can work for any Canadian employer in any industry.
What's more, students are not required to have a Canadian job offer at the time of application. During this 3 year period they can also apply for permanent residency under the category of Canadian Experience Class. Those who study for a 1 year program can work for 1 year on the completion of education.
Undoubtedly. a education from Canada translates into new skills, better job prospects and higher salaries. the international exposure also lets you have a better chance at promotion throughout their career, better health and benefit packages, as well as better pension plans. Clearly, the rewards of a Canadian education will last you a lifetime.
Canada is the 7th largest economy in the world and an extremely safe country and stable economy. The above benefits has attracted a large number of students to apply to Canada. This has resulted in several programs for May and September already getting full. We thus advice all students to apply as soon as possible and also appear for the IELTS at the earliest.
