SHORT CUTS: It's OK for pregnant women to drink a coffee a day   Pregnant women need no longer give up their morning cup of coffee. A research review by American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists had found that moderate caffeine consmption probably won't increase the risk of a miscarriage or premature birth. The College's Committee on Obstectric Practice said tha 200 milligrams of caffeline a day about the amount in a 12-ounce cup of coffee doesn't significantly contribute to miscarriages or premature births. That difenition of 'moderate caffeine consumption" would also include drinking about four 8-ounce-cups of tea, or eating six or seven dark choclate bars. Experts find brightest star:      British astronimers have discovered a "monster" star which is 10 million times brighter than the Sun. A team of scientists discovered the star using the European southern Observatory's (ESO) Very Large Telescope at the University of Sheffield identified it among a group of "monster" stars. The star, known as R136a1, has a current mass of 265 solar masses, and it is thought its birth weight was as much a s 320 times that of the un, the Telegraph reported. According to the scientists, it is also the most luminous star ever found, close to 10 million times that of the Sun.

World's oldest sex toy carved out of bone back in 4000 BC? Washington: If you thought sex toys were modern day product, think again an excavation in sweden has turned up what may be an ancient dildo. Carved out of antler bone, the objuct is about 4 inches long and 0.8 inches in diameter.       "Your mind and my mind wanders away to make this interpretation about what it looks like - for you and me, it signals this erected-penis-like shape. But if that's the way the Stone Age people thought about it, I can't say," Live science quoted archacologist Gerna Gruber, of the National Heritage Board in Sweden who worked on the excavaton, as saying        The resemblance is uncanny.                Writing on his blog Aardvarchaeology, Swedish archaeologist Martin Rundkvist said: "Without doubt anyone alive at the time of its making would have seen the penile similarities just as easily as we do today."         The "dildo" was unearthed at a Mesolithic site in Motala, Sweden, that is rich with ancient artefacts from between 4000 to 6000 BC.

Don't worry, now a brain scan method can help you select your ideal job, scientists claim.       Neuroscientists at the University of California are inching closer to a new brain-mapping method which they claim will help pinpoint a person's talents just by looking at the landscape of his or her mind.        The so-called "psychometric assessments" could also show how good you are with your hands and whether you have any "super talents".the Telegraph reports.        Professor Richard Haier, a psychologist who led the research, said the science remains vague but eventually it could be used to guide your career choice. "A person's pattern of cognitive strengths and weaknesses is related to their brain structure, so there is a possibility that brain scans could provide unique information that would be helpful for vocational choice." he said.       For the study, the researchers scanned the brains of more than 6,000 volunteers and compared the brain map with the results of battery of eight cognitive tests to see if there was a correlation between brain and aptitude.       They found the amount of grey matter, parts of the brain used for computations, and white matter, the part used for communication, and where they were positioned seemed to indicate how good you are at a number of tasks including arithmetic, learning and remembering facts and figures.           the parts of the brain at the root of inteligence are called Brodmann areas and they are scattered around the organ. Those with good speed of ressoning and memorey from the tests were found to have large amounts of grey matter - special tissue packed with nerve cells - in Brodmann areas.       In a further test, using MRI scans, the researchers correlated grey matter with independent ability factors-general intelligence, speed of reasoning, numerical, spatial, memory - and with individual test scored from a battery of cognitive tests completed by 40 ubduvudyaks seeking vocational guidance.       It was found that, In general, there were patterns of grey matter that correlated to actual ability and intelligence. The experts discovered that men and women although scoring the same results in IQ and other tests - had different brain make-ups which suggests that intelligence was not always linked to was not always linked to physical size of different parts of the mind.
