SURPRISE! 

We have all heard about A R Rahman springing a surprise on

singers (by including the track version that they had sung in the album) and directors (by giving them an extra song and the like), Well, lyricist Thamarai got to be a part of one such surprise recently. And it happened with the song Mannipaya...from Vinnaithaanidi Varuvaayaa, which was recorded without director Gautham Menon even knowing it. Thamarai reveals,
           "Rahman asked me to come over to his studio one day and said that he had created a tune which would fit in at a crucial point in the story. He asked me to come up with lyrics where the female lead asks for forgiveness for toying with the hero's feelings. I was initially hesitant as the scene where the song was to be inserted was one where the female lead chooses the hero over her father. But Rahman assured me that he wanted this to be a surprise for Gautham."
         Thamarai added that later, when Gautham heard the song, he too was a little apprehensive."But he went ahead and shot the song suitably and now, it is a rage!," exclaims the hot and happening lyricist.

Deepika Paduknoe - DAREDEVIL

Deepika Padukone recently performed some of the most daredevil stunts for Lafange Parindey, directed by Pradeep Sarkar, but excaped unhurt.

           While striding across the road with Neil Nitin Mukesh, her ce-star, Deepika was supposed to fall into a deep and wide muddy pit. Neil's protective instincts became evident when he told her not to perform the dangerous stunt and a bodydouble was arranged to fall into the deep hole. However, Deepika insisted on doing the stunt herself.

        A source says, "Once Dee fell in the pit, Only professional divers could help her come out. That's how deep the hole in the ground was. Once the camera started rolling, Deepika fell into the pit, pretending it was an accident, and went right to the bottom. Her expertise as a swimmer helped her to hold her breath underwater as divers rushed in to get her out. "

           Deepika confirmed the incident, "I had to make it look like an accident so that the scene looked convincing. I had to do whatever it took, " she said.

This is no0t the popular, make-belief 'farmville' on a website. We're talking about the real farm and the real Patiala of Punjab. Bobby Deol has been there on several occasions, but recently, while shooting for his home production with Sunny and daddy Dharmendra, he lived there for a long spell.

           From walking around in the farms, mingling with the farmers and lounging in the sarson ke Khet, Bobs soaked in the real spirit of Punjab.

           And now, he's in love with Patiala, more than ever before. Of course, another reason is that the kind of fan following the Deol Khandaan enjoys in Punjab is almost unbelievable. Everyone out there is a die-hard Deol fan; obviously, our Dharam paaji grabs the most attention

         We're wondering if Bobs wants to sow his own seeds on that land. We mean the farming kinds...
